[With all the experiments and insanity at the clinic finally dying down, and the weather finally warming up (and not pouring rain), it's time for a break. Litchi has been looking forward to this trip for months, and finally having her chance to get out of the house and have some time alone with David is a huge relief.

Even though she can see the rainclouds starting to build up on the horizon, this is still their chance to get out for a day or two. ~~And hopefully this time will not end in fiery sneezes.~~

What better destination for a romantic day off than the hot springs?]

All the color and life coming back to the mountains really make the view amazing. So much green...

[And there's still buds on the the trees and there are still some wild flowers growing too.]

[Litchi gives a soft "hmm" of agreement before giving his hand a small squeeze.]

I'm glad we were able to make it out here to see it.

[He smiles lightly, still looking out to the village.]

So am I. And it's even better not to have to worry about anything this time.

It certainly is... [Her tone turns playful.] Although I can't say I'm complaining about having to stay so close for warmth the last time.

[He hums a noise of agreement.]

It may not be as cold this time, but I wouldn't mind doing that this time.

[Litchi just laughs softly and gives him a teasing grin.] Why, David Jordan, that's rather bold of you~

[Nevermind that she's guilty of hitting on him much worse than that. On a fairly regular basis.]

[And an equally teasing smile.]

I'm not hearing you disagree.

[That playful lilt in her tone lowers a bit. ~~Danger, Will Robinson!~~]

Wouldn't dream of it. I can't go spoiling a perfectly good day off like that, now can I~?

[Danger? What danger? No, that lower tone intrigues him, inviting him to move in closer. He lowers his voice a little.]

I would hope not. We came out here so you could relax.

[And a teasing kiss on her cheek.]

[Soft, low chuckle. She gives him a sly look from over the top of her glasses.]

Mmm. Are you sure that was all you had planned behind a trip to the hot springs?

[His own tone turns playful, and falsely defensive.]

Why, you're not accusing me of sequestering you away just so I can keep you to myself for awhile, are you?

[Leeeeaning in a bit.]

I wouldn't complain if you were.

[And he sees your lean and does so himself, putting them very close.]

Well. I'll leave that for you to figure out.

[Light laugh.] So mysterious.

[She'll just steal a quick kiss here. And tease. Because that is what she does.]

I promise I won't try to paint your nails this time.

[It is, and the teasing makes him happy; it means she's actually relaxing and easing up.]

I'm going to hold you to that, just so you know.

Hmm. Of course. That time was something of a... special exception. [To word it politely. Incredibly politely.

Chuckling under her breath, she leans in against him again, just making herself comfortable.]

...I don't think you have much to worry about this time around.

[Well, it was just a ridiculous occasion in general. Everyone got a good laugh out of it, so he was fine with it.

When she settles in, he gives her a gentle squeeze, then softly rests his head against hers, her thick, black hair gently tickling his face.]

And neither do you. [And a chuckle.] Or else I'm not doing my job right.

[And what a job it is, fighting against Litchi's worrisome nature. But for the time being, she's perfectly content. What's more important is being right here, with this nice spring weather, with the man she loves. Alone time is so rare, it's best to enjoy it while she can.

So here is a hug, maybe a little tighter than usual, a silent "thank you" for the vacation.]

You certainly do your job well, David.

[It's a full time job, often times, but it's one he can deal with doing.

He notes the hug and gives her a subtle nuzzle in return.]

The least I could do. So... when would you like to go to the hot springs?

[The nuzzle draws a soft, contented hum from her.]

...I suppose we could go in a moment. [She's hesitant to walk away from this.]

Mmm. No rush. We have all night, after all.

We do, don't we? Although I suppose we shouldn't wait too long...

[But she's just so comfortable. :c]

[He's comfortable too, honestly. They don't get to cuddle very often; with two other people living in the house, it doesn't afford them much time to be alone, and usually they don't get this affectionate with each other when other people are around. Most of it remains more subtle and subdued otherwise.

Moments like this tend to be very special for both of them, so he's hesitant to end it too.]

Probably not, but there's no harm in enjoying this view for a little longer, right?

Mm. Certainly no harm.

[Soft sigh. Dave, why you gotta make her so happy?]

It's such a beautiful view.
