[With all the experiments and insanity at the clinic finally dying down, and the weather finally warming up (and not pouring rain), it's time for a break. Litchi has been looking forward to this trip for months, and finally having her chance to get out of the house and have some time alone with David is a huge relief.

Even though she can see the rainclouds starting to build up on the horizon, this is still their chance to get out for a day or two. ~~And hopefully this time will not end in fiery sneezes.~~

What better destination for a romantic day off than the hot springs?]

[Litchi gives a weak, sheepish laugh. What has she done.] N-no, everything is fine now. I promise.

And... yes, this is a very, very good friend of mine. [She gives Thirteen a small smile before chuckling and turning back to Goku.] Certainly one of the best.

[She'll just leave the introduction to Thirteen himself, since she's not too sure which name he'd rather go by in this case.]

[He smiles at the friend comment, admittedly, then back at the smiling kid. Hard to resist a smile like that, and he likes kids.]

Name's David Jordan. Just David or Dave is fine. Nice to meet you, Goku!

[What, Litchi said he was a very, very good friend, he deserves the -nii by default!]

Are you out for groceries or something? I can help if you want. I always help Hakkai as much as I can!

["Dave-nii" earns a soft laugh from her.]

No, we're just out for a walk. We thought we'd enjoy the nice weather while we could. But thank you very much for the offer.

[He's a little surprised by the addition to his name, but he figures it's a term of endearment given Litchi's reaction. Either way, he'll roll with it. Either way, he certainly is a helpful little guy, isn't he?]

Yes, thank you! What brings you out this way, Goku?

I was just playing around. I wasn't able to do much for a week or so, got a cold and Hakkai wouldn't let me out of bed.

[Catching Thirteen's brief hesitation, Litchi just whispers the explanation:] "Big brother."

[And then, turning her attention back to Goku, she adopts a gently scolding tone.] Now, now. I'm glad he kept you in bed. We can't have you staying sick now that the weather is finally warming up, now, can we?

[A quick, subtle nod from Thirteen. That makes more sense, then. Honorifics are still something he's not used to.]

That's right, gotta be at full strength with good weather! That way you can really play and have fun outside! It's nowhere near as good if you're not feeling well.

[Pout.]

But it was boring, I don't like being sick but being stuck in bed was the most boring thing in the world! I like to sleep but not that much!

[And smile!]

I'm fine now, though, so I can play a lot now, right? I want to go pick up flowers and play with the animals at the forest.

[She can't help a laugh.] Yes, if you're feeling better, you can certainly play outside now. Although please be careful with the animals.

[There's a Moro in that there forest, after all.]

Just make sure you have enough fun to make up for the time you were stuck in bed, then!
