[Anybody walking past House 48 today is bound to smell the aroma of cookies. Tons of them. Litchi went a little overboard in preparing some holiday food - as per usual, since the woman never cooks in anything less than army proportions. The house itself is decorated rather nicely; lights, garland, mistletoe, holly, you name it, it's probably strung up somewhere. This may not be a holiday Litchi usually celebrates, but dammit if she's not getting into it anyway. She has her "family" to celebrate with and that's all that really matters.

But there's still the problem of just how many cookies she has here. There's definitely way too much for just her and Tsubaki and Thirteen... and although she knows Tao could eat all of them, she doesn't want to let the catgirl eat too much. And so, a very cheerful Litchi puts a call out over the journals:]

Would anybody like some cookies? I think I made a bit too much, and there's certainly more than enough to go around. If anybody would like some, just let me know and I can bring them by.

The snow really is beautiful today, isn't it...? Just be sure to keep warm, everyone. I'd hate for anyone to fall ill with all the festivities going on.

[With a bow of his head and tip of his hat, Frederic walks inside and looks about Litchi's house that's very well decorated.]

Your house is very beautiful, Miss Faye-Ling. Did you decorate yourself?

[She laughs lightly.]

No, no, I had plenty of help. My housemates are really the ones who deserve the credit. But thank you very much.

[He looks at the couch and then back to her.]

May I be allowed to take a seat on your sofa? I shall wait for the cookies there.

Of course! Make yourself right at home. I'll bring you some cookies.

[It only takes her a moment to get them, too. Enough for Chopin now... and more than enough to feed everyone he knows to take home. ~~Can't say she doesn't take care of her guests.~~]

[While Litchi was away, Frederic suddenly remembered he had forgotten to bring Litchi's gift with him when he came to see her. Thus, he frowns when she returns and sighs.]

Oh my goodness, I'm terribly sorry to say this but I forgot to bring the gift I had for you when I came over. Please forgive me, Miss Faye-Ling.

[She looks slightly puzzled for a moment before just shaking her head, smiling.]

Please, don't worry about it. I have to admit, this holiday isn't something I normally celebrate, but I couldn't help but get into the spirit with my housemates around.

[He'll sigh more and still feel bad as he frowns.]

I still feel terrible for forgetting, I had found something very beautiful for you too. Perhaps you could stop by my apartment later to pick it up? I'd really like you to have it.

Ah... of course. I can come by later, if that would be alright? I had a few gifts I needed to take to some friends, so I was going to be heading out later anyhow.

[Which reminds her...] I have something for you as well, actually.

Of course. I'd be very happy if you came by later, especially since you know where I live.

[He looks a little surprised.] A gift for me? Oh you did not need get me something, Miss Faye-Ling.

[Her tone is playful.] I did mention that I had some gifts for friends, didn't I? You certainly count towards that group.

[He's blushing brightly.] Thank you so much, Miss Faye-Ling. Or would you prefer I call you Miss Litchi now? I-I do not mind if you call me by my first name, unless you'd rather call me by my last name.

[Soft chuckle.] Just "Litchi" is fine, really, but whatever you'd prefer is alright. I know the formality tends to vary between cultures around here.

As for me... is "Mr. Frederic" acceptable?

[His face is still bright red, though he's trying to hide it.] Yes, that's very acceptable. And very well, I shall call you Miss Litchi since I think it would be most appropriate.

That will be just fine.

[Pff. The blushing is cute, but she won't pick on him just yet. Instead, she just turns to a small pile of gifts that she has stacked on a table near the front door, takes one, and hands it over to Chopin. Inside, he'll find some sheet music -- no composer in particular, just whatever classical music she could find in the shops that wasn't something of his.

She smiles.] There. Hopefully what I picked was alright.

[Frederic opens it with a small smile and looks up at her.]

Thank you so much, Miss Litchi. These are perfect, I'll be able to use them for myself and my students for when I start my private lessons again. That does remind me, would you like to sign up for them? Most people seem to think lessons are only for the youth, but I've taught students who are adults as well.

[Soft chuckle.] That's very kind of you, Mr. Frederic. I may just take you up on that... my parents tried to have me learn violin when I was little, but I'm afraid I was never very good at it. Maybe it's worth another try.

I can assure you the piano is a much easier instrument to play, you'll love learning to play such a fine instrument.

If you're sure I can learn, I certainly wouldn't mind.

With my lessons, I know you could do it.
