[It's been a very long day. Litchi has been up since before dawn, tending to patients, straightening up the clinic, helping lost little boys, and overall working herself half to death. Only she's looking a ton more energetic than usual, and even as she's leaving the clinic for the night, she's still upbeat and smiling and cheerful.

~~No, she hasn't gotten into the drugs.~~ Just before heading out to walk home, she'll open up her journal for a quick message.]

Well, it's certainly about time things returned to normal, don't you think? I've had more than enough excitement for quite some time.

Mr. Goroh, David, Miss Yayoi... make sure you're all home within an hour or so, okay? Just because Tao isn't home to eat all your food right now doesn't mean you can be late for dinner. I should be home soon; it won't take long to get back from the grocery store.

I'll be there when I finish my patrol, Dr. Faye-Ling.

[Well, Yellow 13 is home on time as usual. However, tonight, he is carrying himself more confidently than normal. He's felt very at ease all day today, and despite some very strange goings on in the village... people not being quite who he remembered, he's tried not to let it get to him. More like, he's not thinking about it. Either way, he heard Litchi's message and decided to be helpful.

When Litchi comes in, he's probably in the middle of setting the table.]

[Pause. Did he... seriously just call her "Dr. Faye-Ling"? ~~Ego boost much?~~

That really shouldn't make her smile like this. He's bound to be buttering her up for something. Still, she'll play along for now.]

Now, now, Mr. Goroh. Don't keep me waiting~

Sorry, doctor. I have to keep to my schedule. I'll be there at 8:15 sharp.

[Litchi gets home roughly a half hour after her message, arms full with groceries to make dinner. She gently nudges the door shut with her hip and pauses, casting a surprised glance in Thirteen's direction.

There are some things you will never come home to, living with only Tao. This is one of them.]

David... thank you. This is such a nice surprise...!

[Okay, now she's getting a little confused. Goroh? Being so serious?]

A-ah... if... you insist.

[Small pause. She's getting a little worried.]

...Mr. Goroh, are you feeling alright?

[He looks up when he hears the door open. Have a smile, Litchi.]

You're welcome, but it's really nothing.

[He's going to walk over to her and take one of the bags of groceries out of her arms. No, she doesn't get a say in the matter. He'll help take that into the kitchen.]

I feel perfectly fine. But if you think there might be a problem, I'd be willing to take time off for an appointment at the clinic, tomorrow morning.

[She stands there for a moment, just a little surprised, before following along into the kitchen. It's terrible of her to think it, but she's almost irritated that Community Building 2 is fixed now. She might lose all this help.]

Still, you'll spoil me rotten at this rate~

[She smiles over at him, setting her own bag on the counter.]

I hope some salad and cold soup will be alright? Even with the rain, it's still awfully hot outside...

A-are you sure you're feeling alright? You sound... off. [Very off. Since when does Goroh offer to go to the clinic for anything?]

You haven't been out in this rain all day, have you?

Nothing terribly complex. With the heat the way it's been, I was just going to make some salad and cold soup.

[He's not doing anything else, and he'd rather be doing something rather than sitting around watching Litchi cook. It'd feel lazy, and Litchi's been very hospitable.]

[Once she's done ~~fuming~~ getting the groceries and getting them back home, Litchi will just be in the kitchen and getting the food ready.

And quietly fretting. If he's been out in the rain all day, he could be seriously sick. Which... he sounds like, honestly, because since when is Goroh so polite?

...Did somebody steal his journal? Although the voice seemed right...

Frowning worriedly, she's just sort of blankly stirring the soup on the stove.]

Hmm... I hate to ask, but... if you wouldn't mind, could you help me chop the vegetables? There are quite a lot here and it would take me quite a while alone.

[Even without Tao here at the moment, Litchi still cooks enough to feed a small army.]

[When Goroh arrives home, he steps inside. He takes off his sunglasses and sets them inside his jacket. His jacket he hangs in the closet, setting his hat on a shelf. He still have his good old fashioned white T-Shirt, but something's different about Goroh...]

[Thirteen quickly gets one of the kitchen knives and starts into work.]

It's no problem at all. It's just like when I had to help make dinner for the squadron when we were out on deployment. Think it was gumbo, actually...

[Although still plenty muscular, he's no longer the walking tank he was before. He also looks significantly younger too, probably about age thirty. As he steps into the kitchen, he calls for Litchi.]

Doctor Faye-Ling, I'm back.

[Litchi, absently humming to herself, also gets to chopping up some veggies.]

Gumbo? I can't say I've ever made it, myself.

[She almost drops the ladle in her surprise to hear him.]

Mr. Goroh, I--

[Who the hell is this standing in her kitchen.]

[Wait a minute. The shirt matches, and the face is still pretty much the same, but...]

[WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON--

H-he's younger...! T-this must be some kind of experiment...! ~~She really, really shouldn't be thinking that he's kind of cute like this...!~~
