Rebel 22 [Voice/Action] Forward-dated to late evening
[It's been a very long day. Litchi has been up since before dawn, tending to patients, straightening up the clinic, helping lost little boys, and overall working herself half to death. Only she's looking a ton more energetic than usual, and even as she's leaving the clinic for the night, she's still upbeat and smiling and cheerful.
No, she hasn't gotten into the drugs. Just before heading out to walk home, she'll open up her journal for a quick message.]
Well, it's certainly about time things returned to normal, don't you think? I've had more than enough excitement for quite some time.
Mr. Goroh, David, Miss Yayoi... make sure you're all home within an hour or so, okay? Just because Tao isn't home to eat all your food right now doesn't mean you can be late for dinner. I should be home soon; it won't take long to get back from the grocery store.
[[ooc: AU info this-a-way~ :D
Also feel free to run into her anywhere in the plaza or on her way back to her house. ♥ Or... well, in the house, for her housemates.]]

And I'm Colonel David Jordan, commander of the elite 156th Tactical Fighter Wing of the Federal Erusian Air Force, better known as Yellow Squadron. I was Ace of Aces in the Usean Continental War, with more than one hundred confirmed aircraft kills in a two year period. After the war, Yellow Squadron was transferred back to Farbanti. Before I arrived here, I was slated to act as a flight instructor at the Air Force Academy to whip the next generation of fighter pilots into shape.

If I had to guess, we all seem to be remembering different possibilities from each person's world. I recall David here mentioning he had lost the war he mentioned. Litchi may have owned a clinic, but she was also a staff fighter that seemed to be looking for... something specific. Noel and Tsubaki were both from the Military Academy, although Tsubaki was much younger and Noel less... confident. [Or endowed.]

That's odd... Miss Vermillion's story is exactly what I remember about her. It's everyone else that seems different to me.
[She glances at Noel questioningly.] If we all changed, then why would the two of us remember the same thing?
no subject
You... what?
[Okay, so it was obvious this was loads of screwed up. But...]
...That's right. Miss Litchi's story sounds the same to me, too.
no subject
None of these stories are as I recall them. Detective Goroh's recollection is the closest to my own, however. [Though that 'much younger' bit was so not cool.
And what's with that look?]
Noel...?
no subject
...Yes, Goroh's statements are mostly what I remember as well. Though as he and I discussed, I mistakenly thought he was an F-ZERO pilot.
But whatever we may perceive everyone else as, the fact is, we are who we are now. If we can accept that, our lives will be much easier, I think.

I see no reason to get caught up with how we may have changed or how our memories were altered. We'll know soon enough when things return to what passes as 'normal' around here.
no subject
Mr. Goroh is right. We'll find out the truth soon enough, I'm sure. For now, let's just have a nice dinner, hm~?
no subject
Miss Litchi is right, though. We'll figure it all out in time.
no subject
Indeed. This situation is likely of a temporary nature; there is little we can do to see it resolved save wait.
[Not that she necessarily cares to see it resolved. In her opinion, most of these supposed changes have been pretty darn good.]
no subject
Either way he begins eating.]
Hm, this is delicious. Thank you, Litchi.
no subject
Agreed. [He then glances at Tsubaki.] What exactly does this position of yours entail?
no subject
Why, thank you, David~ I couldn't have done it without your help.

It entails the issuing of edicts by which the Novus Orbis Librarium is to be run, as well as approving motions put forth by the Duodecim, our chief decision-making council.
[And considering the breadth of the NOL's jusrisdiction, that's more or less ruling the world.
...btw this food is great.]
no subject
It was nothing. Glad I could do it.
[He hears what Tsubaki said, though...]
So, you are effectively the head of the NOL, then? That's very impressive.

And at such a young age, too... Congratulations, Miss Yayoi.

Noel will get over it.]
no subject
...The appointment was an honour I was proud to accept.
[But she doesn't look happy; it's not an easy job to live with. It can get so lonely... so very lonely, DAVID.]
no subject
The NOL's in excellent hands, I think.
