[After a couple days of absence, Litchi is back from her short trip home. And, as always with her, it's a bath tub that she's landed in. One Yellow Thirteen's bath tub, to be precise. And she's not in the best shape.

Resounding not only through the apartment, but over the journals, is the sound of the tub cracking as if under a tremendous amount of pressure. Litchi lets out a pained whimper, curling into a ball as best she can despite one arm being tangled in the shower curtain.

The Boundary has cut loose. And Litchi is absolutely terrified.

The journal picks up another quiet groan before she falls silent.]

[He shakes his head and pops the cigarette behind his ears as he starts walking again.]

Fucking figures, doesn't it? Dave doesn't even keep a pack of matches handy.

Oh, don't be like that. I'd offer my magic, but I... don't think now would be a good time to try and keep it small enough for just a cigarette.

[He just mutters as they finally get through the woods, where the devastation of the central plaza awaits them.]

Damn. If the Mallies don't fix this, we're gonna have to rebuild somewhere else.

[Litchi cringes, looking over the damage. It... just looks even worse now than it did before.]

It shouldn't be much longer until it's all fixed, though, right? Although... the sheer scale of this...

[He stares off at what used to be building four. It's just as bad as his own building.]

It all depends on who caused it. And whether we're the ones it was meant to hurt the most.

[Stare.] You don't think this was another experiment, do you?

The benevolent CEO story is hard to swallow, but this don't seem their style. Since the crazy guy took over, the experiments have been harmless. This? This ain't harmless.

It certainly doesn't seem to fit the right profile... It seems more like a natural disaster than anything.

[He doesn't say anything as they walk a little more, eventually arriving at the plaza itself. He notices something straight away, namely that everything east of the village seems to be fine.] A natural disaster... that started from the tunnels. Strange that.

[She's noticed that, too. A small frown twitches onto her lips. Whatever is going on... she's getting a really bad feeling about it. This can't be the end of it.]

"Strange" is putting it a little lightly. I wonder what in the world is going on...

Maybe it has something to do with the draft... it seems odd that we only just got back not that long ago and now this.

My thoughts exactly. [He looks past the destruction... the smithy is still standing. And behind that...]

Looks like your house may have survived.

[not_meatbuns]

[Small sigh of relief. She can only barely see that far, even with her glasses, but the house is indeed standing -- just some minor damages.] Oh, thank heaven.

[She glances over at Goroh thoughtfully. Community Building 2 was destroyed. There's no way he has anywhere to go back to just yet, unless it's the barracks.]

Mr. Goroh... you're welcome to stay with me and Tao until your building is repaired, if you'd like.

[hageshii]

[Oh, an invitation. He grins at that.]

Well that's fortunate. I was inviting myself over anyway.

[She just grins back.]

I was going to insist anyhow.

[hageshii]

Now you won't get the chance. Shame that.

I suppose I'll just have to deal with it. Now come on, you're getting some rest once we get inside.

So are you. [A wry grin.] Maybe do it together.

[not_meatbuns]

[Hands on hips. She's a little red, as well.] Mr. Goroh, that really isn't funny. You're married.

[Goroh doesn't miss a beat. If there's any discomfort at that, he hides it well. He shakes his head in amusement, as if Litchi completely missed the point.] That's a bit forward, Litchi. We're supposed to be resting, not doing whatever you think.

[alskdjads. She's bristling just a little bit now.]

You still shouldn't have worded it like that!

[He opens the door once they arrive, already feeling as though he lives there.]
