[It's strange the things Litchi remembers from the whole hot springs incident. She basically remembers Noel and Tsubaki, a whole lot of grapes, something about nail polish, and the fact that she found out Yellow 13's birthday while digging through his things. And so, once she's gotten home for the night and has had the time to fix something up for said birthday, she sends out a call over the journal.]

David? I know this is a little out of nowhere, but I made you a cake.

I can bring it to you if you'd like, but you're more than welcome to come by and pick it up if you'd rather do that.

[...What? This was unusual... he didn't recall telling anyone about his birthday. ...Not that he's going to complain at all. And he's rather touched by the gesture, and it sort of shows in his voice.]

...It is, but it's a really pleasant surprise. Thank you, Litchi. I'll drop on by and meet with you soon.

It's the least I can do for a friend. Happy birthday.

[And she'll be home the rest of the night -- or at least that's the plan -- so the door is open. And there will be one yellow cake with chocolate icing waiting for him. ♥]

[He'll arrive before too long. It takes him awhile to walk from his apartment to Litchi's new place, but when he does, he'll knock on the door to announce his presence before coming in.]

[She's got the cake all set up on the table in the living room and greets him with a smile.]

I hope this is alright.

[He'll walk in, and head over to the table and study the cake for a brief moment. It looked delicious, and Litchi wasn't kidding at all. It brings a smile to his face as he turns to face her.]

...It is. Honestly, I'm... I'm quite surprised that you did this for me. Thank you. It means a lot to me. But, how did you know my birthday? I don't remember ever telling anyone.

[A light blush dusting across her face, Litchi gives a small, apologetic cough.]

I-I'm sorry about this, but at the hot spring... I, er, found some of your things. [By rummaging in them. Oh god why does anyone let her near alcohol still.] I found out then.

...I'm sorry.

[...The smile broadens a little and he chuckles lightly. Nothing of his was missing, not that it mattered anyway here, so he's... not even bothered by it.]

It's fine. Considering everything that happened that day, it's not even a surprise. But it was all in good fun, so don't even worry about anything that happened that day.

As long as you had fun, that's all that matters.

[She can't help a small smile herself. It's so nice to have understanding friends.]

...Thank you. It really was nice to take a break for a change; although I do still apologize for what a handful I was.

Has everything been alright since then, though? I feel as if I've been really out of the loop.

Don't mention it. I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a good time either. Honestly, I haven't had that much fun since the last time the 156th threw a party.

Best as I've known, everything has been fine. I tend to keep a lower profile myself. Not much an eagle can do with its wings clipped...

[Aw, that just makes her feel bad.]

It must be difficult, adjusting to life here, considering what you were used to before.

It's not that bad. I just miss flying. You get up into the sky and you see everything from above, and you never want to come back down to earth.

It's a pilot thing, I guess. But... life here's pretty good for the most part.

[...The alternative is the grave, anyway.]

I suppose I can understand. We were always so high up in Kagutsuchi that it's a little strange not being able to see the whole landscape anymore.

...Although I'm sure it's far more obvious from the sky itself.

You've never flown, I take it?

[She shakes her head.] No, I'm afraid not.

...If I find a way to get my hands on a working aircraft sometime, I'll show you what it's like. You might like it.

...That sounds like it would be really nice. Thank you.

[A nod and a smile.]
