Well, it seems the the space issue has resolved itself. We've found a house that, even if more people from back home do show up, we'll have plenty of room in. [Although it's Tager she's mainly worried about; house or no, he would still take up a huge amount of space.]

Hopefully this will solve our issue with New Feathers appearing in the tub... Although I suppose I'll find out once the incoming numbers pick up again soon.

So, from now on, I'll be living in House 48. I think I might fix up a housewarming dinner later on this week, if anyone is interested.

Several double crosses later, we were cheated out of the money, turned on our clients together, and took the money for ourselves. We celebrated our victory by getting completely wasted. When we woke up, we were in Mute City and married.

Actually, it's just the opposite. Most of the world is uninhabitable, so everyone is crowded together into very large, multi-level cities wherever it's safe enough to live. It's just that the different levels of the cities are treated like different towns. [Don't get her started, it'll be a whole Teach Me Miss Litchi episode.]

Ah. Well, I was gonna make a point. See, you don't get more dangerous a sport than F-ZERO. Except for Poripotion Roulette, where all but one round in the pistol is loaded, but that's not the point. F-ZERO is a deadly sport, but there ain't more than fifty consistent racers. Yet Mute City has a population of over a billion people.

[Over a billion... Good lord. The crowding has to be terrible.]

I'm afraid I'm a little hazy on finer details, but yes. Why?

It's on the outskirts of Mute City. People used to live there once upon a time, now they call the place Lightning. One big wasteland of pollution and continuous electric storms. The place is known for two things. The fact it produces enough power to export to other planets... and that we F-Zero racers get to dodge lightning bolts on the course that runs through there.

...Please don't tell me these things.

It's fascinating the differences between our versions of home, but... I really do worry about everyone's safety.
