Once the New Year rang in back in Kagutsuchi, the power Litchi had harvested from the Boundary began to spiral out of control. Where she, just days earlier, had been able to perfectly control the flow of power with Lao Jiu's help, now all of a sudden her memories were beginning to blur. Mixing up memories that she knew had happened with things she frankly wasn't sure had happened (ultimately the memories of her "selves" in alternate timelines caused by the timeloop in her world), she set out to try and find some way to make contact with Kokonoe. Her time was short and she had to find a cure for Arakune (and herself) before it was too late. She ran into Hazama in front of her clinic, more than a little unsettled by just how much he knew about her well-hidden past.

Going to heal some of Ragna's injuries at Tao's request, Litchi found out just how much her powers were getting out of hand -- just being near the Azure Grimoire made her black out and be drawn towards its light. Awakened just in time by Torakaka and frightened by what had happened, Litchi hurriedly left for her clinic... and ran into Bang, who was carting along a very injured Carl Clover. Litchi treated Carl's injuries as best she could and, in a moment alone with the marionette "sister", was shown where she could find Tager to try to make contact with Kokonoe. Litchi left Bang in charge of watching her clinic and took off, running into Tager... who tried to brush her off, only to be interrupted by Kokonoe, who insisted that Tager knock Litchi out and bring her back to Sector Seven. Litchi won the fight, but her powers cascaded completely out of control, not only injuring her and causing her to begin to lose consciousness, but scaring the living daylights out of her. While her assistant Linhua ran to her rescue, punching Tager in a terrified and infuriated frenzy, Litchi panicked completely and totally -- and ran like hell.

Personality: Litchi is a kind-hearted, warm, and caring woman. Her main concern is the well-being of others and she has a habit of assuming a sisterly or motherly role towards just about everyone she meets, especially those younger than herself. She worries a lot about those she cares about -- rather like a fretting mother hen. But it makes her an excellent doctor, caring so much about her patients that she'll wear herself out completely just to make sure they're safe and sound.

On the flip side, though, Litchi is an incredibly stubborn woman, and brutally honest. She can carry a guilt trip on for ages, feeling guilty over anything that can even slightly be considered her fault, and continually beating herself up over it. Her usual show of calm confidence withers completely if she's faced with the major skeleton in her closet: her former lover, now known as Arakune. Breaking down into an uncertain, hesitant, and heartbroken mess, this is her absolute weakness. And faced with the dark side of her Boundary-given powers, she further crumbles into a panicked shadow of her usual self, terrified of what she's becoming -- or, perhaps more accurately, what she's losing.

Most of the time, though, Litchi is an incredibly intelligent, gentle, and caring woman. Just very, very stubborn.

Strengths: Physical: As a fighting game character, Litchi is very strong. Very strong. Her Boundary powers can spike up through the roof in times of need (or, unfortunately, if she's getting too worked up) and can make her so immensely powerful that even the eight-foot cyborg Tager is afraid. Her fighting style further piggybacks on her physical prowess -- graceful, fluid movements that only a perfectly fit woman could handle.

Mental: Litchi is brilliant. A former scientist for Sector Seven, respected even by the world-renowned genius Kokonoe for her medicinal knowledge, and now a very successful doctor, Litchi is most definitely incredibly book smart. She is usually very level-headed in times of need and her stubbornness can serve her well in keeping her out of trouble. (As evidenced in how much she resisted even talking to Hazama after he dug up dirt on her past.)

Emotional: Always willing to shoulder the burdens of those she loves, Litchi will always stubbornly stay by the side of whoever needs her most, unflinching. Very forgiving and loving despite all the odds. Makes friends very easily (all of Orient Town loves her... and the Kaka Village... and a decent chunk of Ronin-gai...)

Weaknesses:
Physical: The Boundary powers. If used too much, the taint of the Boundary will break her body down to the point that she will be unable to even move on her own. Even without being actively used, the power is beginning to take a terrible toll on her body -- resulting in crippling damage in several endings and terminal illness in another (as in... she would die within six months). Also terribly nearsighted without her glasses. Also rather slow in battle, and her fighting style tends to leave her wide open for counterattacks.

On a lighter note, Litchi is a total lightweight when it comes to alcohol... and is an obnoxious drunk. She's kidnapped two police officers for forced cosplay already; clearly a force to be reckoned with.

Mental: Again with the Boundary powers. The powers are breaking down her mental state rapidly by allowing her to see into the memories of all the other Litchis in all the other alternate dimensions and timelines. Infinite possibilities, infinite memories, all crashing down on one mind... it doesn't happen all the time, but it's happening with increasing frequency and it scares the bejeezus out of her. Also beginning to be terribly lured in by the power of the Azure Grimoire. If she touches it, she'll completely lose herself.

On a less-Boundary-power-related note, Arakune is a gigantic, glaring weakness. Anything even slightly related to him causes Litchi to shut. down. She panics, cries, begs for him to be saved, nearly gets herself killed over him... it's a mess.

Emotional: She cares a bit too much. Losing someone she cares about can and WILL cause her to completely melt down. See Arakune, especially in that she was willing to side with Hazama just to have a chance of saving him. She's terribly easily manipulated due to this intense care for others.
