How in the world did I get here...? I couldn't possibly have gotten that far out of the way just on the way back to Orient Town. And with Mrs. Chen's appointment tomorrow, too... This doesn't even look like anywhere around Kagutsuchi that I've ever seen. All these trees... it's beautiful, but I don't think I can afford to just idle around here.

Surely there has to be some way back home...

[Pause.] Guess I ought to meet you there.

[Goroh is going to have to leave his warm room to find her. Besides dressing warmly himself, he'll grab a spare coat before heading outside and towards the southern edge of the village. He'll have his journal open for the trip though.]

[Pause.] I'm sorry, I've been rude. My name is Litchi. You are...?

[That spare coat is going to be so very appreciated. She's getting really cold. The village is nearly in sight, though.]

[Goroh will be along soon. He'll have the coat slung over his shoulder as he arrives. But before he hands it over, allow him a brief moment to be distracted. With all this cold weather, it's been awhile since he's had an eye full like that.]

[There's plenty to look at with Litchi, that's for sure. She's hugging her arms to herself for warmth, embarrassed but intent on getting somewhere warmer. Besides, the forest can't possibly be very safe to stay in after dark.

There's a tiny panda shivering away on top of her head. This may or may not be a little weird.]

I have to say... you were right when you said it was cold.

[He doesn't quite notice the panda, but she does get his attention back to the task. So he'll toss over the coat.]

Just be glad it's not actually coming down today. [Still, it's overcast, so it could be better.]

[Litchi catches the coat and shrugs into it gratefully. The panda jumps down onto her shoulder and burrows into the coat as well.]

Is the weather here regularly poor?

Couldn't say. I've only been here a month, but they keep a calendar here. January, as they count it here. Give it a few months and we should be into some better weather.

[He'll start fidgeting in his pocket for something.] You have some kind of pet there?

January... so even time is different here.

[She smiles apologetically. Said pet has burrowed well into the shoulder of the coat by now.] Ah, yes, a panda. His name is Lao Jiu.

[Goroh is about to object about the size of the thing. But then, why bother? It won't make the panda the right size by doing so. He'll dig out a cigarette and light it.]

Lao Jiu, huh? Cute. You missing any belongings?

[Litchi frowns slightly at the cigarette. She's a medical professional, so she doesn't approve -- but the fact that she doesn't really know Goroh will spare him from a lecture for now.]

Yes, actually. My bo staff was nowhere near where I woke up.

[It's nothing that can't be fixed when he gets back to the 26th century. At least that's how he sees it. Simple pleasures.]

Alright then, we'll take a stop at the smithy. [He'll start towards the village.]
